Babies

I read that in the 1800's that dolls were first called...dolls, before that they were called babies! Well I have been making babies all fall! You will see them soon online but in the meantime I will show you a few that flew to Scotland.

His hatband is made from a felted sweater and his boots and hat are real leather!

Better Late than Never

I remember when I got an email about 1999 asking if I wanted to upload my new CD to an MP3. I was barely using the computer at the time. And of course it sounded too confusing. So here we are 12 years later and FINALLY my music is available on itunes and everywhere else.

I include CD's with my books and I had just run out again. CD's have to be ordered 1000 at a time. So...I talked to my husband and we agreed that all people do is to upload music to their computer or ipod or phone and toss the CD. So...now my books will come with a card that has the picture of the CD and a code to download the music for free. So if you want one of the very last remaining CD's for any reason (nostalgia?) please let me know.
In honor of this new downloadable music I am going to be having a huge book with music promotion. Watch for details in the next few days. The books are going to be on sale for an amazing deal!!

A Review of the Books

Ahh the books.... As I am in the process of finally finding a distributor so that some of the larger bookstores will carry them. It is good to think they are still so very relevant in the world of children.

I had a fun review of my books by a blogger on the east coast. She is giving away a copy of them so here is the link.
It's kind of fun to read the comments that people leave as to why they would want to win the books!

Booksigning on Saturday in Houston

There is a cute little bookstore in Houston that reminds me of the one in the movie "You've Got Mail". I was there a couple of weeks ago for a friend's book signing and fell in love with the shop. They have a beautiful selection of every kind of book. Well... someone mentioned that I had written a couple books and the owner had me bring them in the next week and now they carry them there AND he asked if I would do a book signing. So the week has come for that.
This Saturday April 30 I will be at The River Oaks Book Store from 3-5pm.
The address is :
3270 Westheimer Road
  Houston, TX 77098
(713) 520-0061.
Please tell any friends you know in Houston to come by and say hello.
