Class next Thursday!!

Next Thursday September 1st, I am having my first class at the new studio!! It will be a class to make a painted floor mat. It will be from 9-12 and we will finish the project that morning. The cost will be $45 for everything and the class is limited to 5 people. So let me know if you are interested. The studio is on 2978 directly across from Target and behind State farm Insurance. The address is 32815 FM 2978.

There are lots of new things at the studio and I will be open next week but call first to make sure I haven't stepped out. 281-785-0755.

 New Noah's Ark which is  a reproduction of a Williamsburg Noah's Ark. It is sooooo charming!! And has the most wonderful animals!!  I have a picture of the original.

Cake Toppers

I remember going to the bakery each year with my mother and her picking out my sisters and my birthday cakes. But her favorite part was telling them what she would like on top. Not the icing flavor, she would do that as well ,but what was to sit on top to adorn the cake. Sometimes she would buy it from the bakery and other times she would buy it somewhere else like a special toy shop. In those days the bakery had a special glass cabinet of all kind of treasures that could be used for the cake. Sometimes my mother would find a napkin with just the right picture and have the cake decorators copy the image in icing. But the ones I loved the most were when whatever sat on the cake could then be kept as a remembrance of that particular birthday.

So in honor of my mother the other day I made from clay lots of cake toppers that I think she would have liked.

Better Late than Never

I remember when I got an email about 1999 asking if I wanted to upload my new CD to an MP3. I was barely using the computer at the time. And of course it sounded too confusing. So here we are 12 years later and FINALLY my music is available on itunes and everywhere else.

I include CD's with my books and I had just run out again. CD's have to be ordered 1000 at a time. So...I talked to my husband and we agreed that all people do is to upload music to their computer or ipod or phone and toss the CD. So...now my books will come with a card that has the picture of the CD and a code to download the music for free. So if you want one of the very last remaining CD's for any reason (nostalgia?) please let me know.
In honor of this new downloadable music I am going to be having a huge book with music promotion. Watch for details in the next few days. The books are going to be on sale for an amazing deal!!
