My ,My How We Have Grown... the Robin story continues
I was checking on the birdies today and i thought the mama Robin was in the nest, but no,no. What a difference a week makes in the life of a baby bird!! These are the little twins that last week were almost painful to look at. But now look at their colored feathers with beautiful design. They look ready to fly!!!
Musician Tiles
I painted some new tiles recently that I am going to use in two new projects. One is a fireplace and one is a large mirror for a powder room. I will show you the projects soon but here are the tiles. If you are interested they can be purchased as a group or individually here.

Baby Robins at Last!!
Okay so I know I am obsessed with the robins, but for someone who has avoided birds her whole life it's kind of like a child like discovery so please bear with me!! haha
This week we got back from Scotland and the minute we pulled into the driveway I jumped out to see if the robins had been hatched. And sure enough there was one baby with it's mouth wide open and no parents around. My camera had a dead battery from the trip so I didn't capture the moment that day. The next day it rained really hard and I went to check and the mama bird was sitting on top of her babies and took the rain for them.
Then yesterday I finally got the pictures I had been wanting to show you. There were not one but TWO babies!!! So here they are.
See the little head peaking up?
Two days ago they had a lot more fluffy stuff on them.
I think they are about 9 days old.
And then this morning the mama bird is back watching guard.

Scotland oh Scotland
I am so very glad to be back in Scotland!! It is chilly here!! The temp is around 50 degrees!! I knew that but I somehow thought in my mind that you mix 50 degrees here with the blazing heat and humidity of Houston and you end up feeling about perfect and so I didn't bring a coat. But it doesn't really work that way. It's still cold here and it's still hot in Houston.
I somehow forgot to take my camera on my adventures today so...tomorrow you will see pics. So instead since I am so cold right now....I am sending a few new Christmas card designs that I worked on tonight!!

Mary Moore's Illustration
On Sunday I head over to bonnie ole Scotland to see Mary Moore graduate from college. I will get to also see her degree art show as she has majored in illustration. I will be posting about all of that but I wanted to give you a preview of a wee tiny bit of some work she just completed called "The Williams Family". It all started with a series she created last summer while in Providence, Rhode Island. One print in the series was about Roger Williams and the separation of church and state. Well she added a few members to Roger's family and each of the Williams' is quoted as well as pictured.
The Williams Family!!
I told her I could imagine them blown up to be about 8' tall and hanging in a pub!!
Hankies with a Sweet Message
My friend Callie showed me the precious way she asked her friends to be her bridesmaids! She found beautiful handkerchiefs at an antique store and then handprinted them with a set of rubber stamps! Sweet!!
